HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY MA NIGERIAN PEOPLE.

*singing*

Arise oh Nigerians. ....we've got a new leader.......

....Oya sai baba....sai Buhari

I hope for change and I hope Buhari brings change sharpaly...Immediately. My colleague was gisting me about a particular Ghanian president who came into power and decided to kill all the corrupt people in his country. .**that's some serious gangsta change**. If you ask me, I think Buhari should take a cue from this guy....*runs*

So what's going on mi lovies?

Good morning... Good day...

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Your word have I laid up in my heart that I might not sin against You.”
(Psalm 119:11, AMP)

TODAY’S WORD
The Word of God is living and active! It’s powerful in our lives! Did you know that the Word of God has the power to protect you and keep you from sin?

God’s Word comes in written form, the Bible, but His spoken word can come in many other ways. In scripture, His word came through a burning bush, a still small voice, and even a donkey! He might speak to your heart through a friend or through a worship song. He may speak to you through creation. When He does speak, your spirit knows it. There is confirmation in your inner man. You know it’s His voice because He always speaks truth, and truth always sets you free!

Hold God’s Word close to your heart. Let it protect you. Meditate on His Word day and night. Let His truth transform you and lead you in the way everlasting!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for Your Word which strengthens and protects me. Thank You for speaking truth to my heart. Help me hear Your voice more clearly so I can live a life pleasing to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

●PAUSE!●

*I really was trying to make sense now... I swear*

 How y'all doing?

I forgot to do this yesterday but....■wait a minute.... *runs to the roof top*.... HAPPY NEW MONTH MON DEARIES...

I am super excited today and you just can't understand it... and I can't explain it either...

Let me explain small why I am so happy *hehe*.... Firstly, I did not give up on this blog. It is a friggin big deal to me mehn... shiiiii.... I give up on almost anything ...I once gave up on my mum...hehe (story for another day).... but really the journey has been amazing and ayam proud of me *ahhhhhh shoki*.

If you are a blogger, I'm sure you must have experienced the BLOG ENVY  where you just come across someone else's blog and you're like 'What jazz is this person using na....see comments fa'.. and that thing just kills your morale... Yes I've been there and I just keep telling myself 'We all have different reasons for blogging and the hustle is different'. That keeps me going all the time. And guess who else kept me going?  You... yes you.. with your two eyes and one nose...and 32 teeth...or less sha. Thank you so much.

So what do I have for everyone today?

A lovely friend of mine sent this to me on WhatsApp and I thought to myself 'I must share this with everyone'. So be calm and learn something.

A little girl was holding two apples with both hands (not the girl in the picture o)....
Her mum came in and softly asked her little daughter with a smile "My sweetie, could you give me one of your two apples?"
The girl looked up at her mum for some seconds, then she suddenly took a quick bite on one apple, and then quickly on the other.
The mum felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment.
Then the little girl handed one of her bitten apples to her mum,and said "Mummy, here you are. This is the sweeter one".

How smart is that? If I was that mum, before she takes her next action, I would have slapped her or done something to punish her cos it looked like she didn't want to share and so she bit the apples to show how smart she was. Everyone knows Moby is an impatient woman...but I'm learning *covers face*.

This is just to say no matter who you are, how experienced you are, and how knowledgeable you think you are, always... always delay judgement.

Give others the privilege to explain  themselves.
Really I know how hard it can be sometimes but it pays. What you see may not be the reality. Never conclude for others. This is for everyone.... if you belong to the set of people that assumes for your spouses, he doesn't pick his phone then it means he's screwing someone else...or she ignores your call then she's cheating... Patience is a virtue and it comes in handy all the time. Always ask questions before jumping into conclusion.
*NOTE TO SELF*....*turns to myself*...Moby hope you read that last part o?...hehe

Tomorrow is the D-day... JUNE 4.....

There is going to be a give away.. one guy and one lady and then some other lucky people...yaaaaay. Let's see who knows Moby really well.

My mother is just a special person and I love her. I wonder why she would think her daughter would put up a naked picture of herself. I was raised better than that.
I love me some Iya Dayo.
I forgot to include some pictures in the video. I just came across the pictures after the video was uploaded and I couldn't edit it once it was up. I am so sorry guys. I would think of something to make it up to everyone, okay? Thank you very much.

THE WORD FOR TODAY - WHEN THINGS LOOK HOPELESS

Today’s Scripture
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.”
(Habakkuk 3:17–18, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD
The prophet Habakkuk knew what to do when things seemed completely hopeless. When he wrote this verse, his world was literally falling apart. He had nothing. Things seemed destitute. So what did Habakkuk do? He rejoiced and praised the Lord in spite of everything. He knew that God was bigger than His problems, and He already had a way to get Him out of those circumstances. Habakkuk was looking beyond His problems to what God could do in His life!

Let’s follow Habakkuk’s example. When something bad happens to you, thank God — not because you’re suffering, but because you know He has the answer. When things look hopeless, praise Him because He will bring hope to your circumstances!

A Prayer for Today
“Father, I call on You in the midst of my trouble. I praise You because You are my hope. I bless You and magnify You, knowing You have a good plan for my future in Jesus’ name! Amen

Heeheeee

I'm so sorry for not putting up the weekend download post yesterday....*on my knees*....  This is/was due to serious fatigue and small fever...(Remember I said I wasn't feeling too good....but I'm better now sha...*smiles*)

So how was your weekend?

My weekend was 'shakitibobo'... Let us skip to Sunday cos Saturday was uneventful asides meeting my 'Battle of the hairlistas' team members for a lil rehearsal before the main day....and being practically forced to watch the Barcelona match by 'you know who'....*rolls eyes*...

And ah!....wait ooo... Friday was pretty good too.... I got this amazing Beyoncé's Rise perfume from Leboo's dad. He just came in from Miami and I don't know how in heaven's name he knew I appreciate 'the gift of perfume' than any other gift. I fell in love with the bottle immediately...and the smell, na die....*fans self*

So,*clears throat*... on Sunday, I went to church for thanksgiving service.  I have plenty to thank God for. He has been indeed a great God and I give him all the glory.... I looked buerifu...hehe

Been pouting since 1891
I left church early so as to make the 'Naija Hair can Grow Salon day out' meet up on time and mehn was it fabulous. We had so many beautiful women in the house. Dabs was looking beautiful as ever and she did an amazing job in the planning and execution of the event *thumbs up pretty sisto*... The only things I had issues with were duration and the venue. The programme ran till late and the hall wasn't big enough for the attendees... and yes!... Food!!!!. There was no provision for food seeing we were going to be there for 6 hours...*folds arms*...But in all...it was a fun...*winks*.

Bimbo, Sunbo and Seyi were there with me and they made my day. Thanks guys for turning up. Let me explain what friendship is from these 3 girls.  Seyi had malaria and she had loads of drugs to use and she was there till we finished.... Sunbo had an online test that was going to close at 12am Sunday... We dropped her at the cafe she was going to use by 8 pm..... Bimbo doesn't go out at night *she sef dey fear for night*.. but she turned up till 8pm....When she called to tell me she was home, I could tell she had to run at some point because she was panting seriously..and Leboo sat the event through..HUNGRY....LOL.....
With these few points of mine, I think I've been able to convince you and not confuse you that I have some really cool, loyal friends. Thanks guys for turning up.... God bless you all loads...*hugs* + *Kisses*
Bimbo, Seyi, Leboo and Sunbo

The battle of hairlistas competiton?...*clears throat*...My team won.... yaaaaay!!!!. ... Team on fleek won the battle and we got some Design Essentials hair product worth 100k *divided by each team member*...and (I'm sure Dabs wanted it to be a surprise) we got 100 dollars each...hehe.
Here are some pictures...
Two teams battling... I am the one on yellow pants

The winners..yaaaay... Moby, Ndidi, Dabs, Tofunmi, Sandra and Tomiwa

My head was on fire here...kai
Sandra N. U (she fine plenty)
Berry Dakara
Sandra's hair though *i love*

By the end of the event, Moby's head was about to explode. I was having the worst migraine in the history of migraines...it was soo bad, I had to squint in all the pictures I took (well almost all...).....I need to get another camera mehn.... but we shall make do with the pictures I took with my phone.

The highlight of the day was having my biggest fan and supporter with me all the way...Leboo *blushing*... I could hear him scream and whistle all the way..through out the competition..... I am almost convinced my team won cos of Leboo. Thanks huni.....*bats lashes*...+ *kisses*...

I took my hair to work on Monday in way that made my boss look at me, shake his head and say 'Bolaji what kind of hair is this?'.

I didn't need to answer anymore questions after that. So I'm trying the crotchet braids tomorrow and I will show the pictures later (that is if it turns out well).

So how are we going to spend our money oooo... even though I've not gotten the alert? Hehe.

Thanks to Dabs, Team on Fleek, Bolatito, Bimbo, Sunbo, Seyi, Sandra N.U., Alice, Berry and the ever funny Atilola. She is small but Mighty....Ya'll made the weekend 'Downloadable'....God bless

Ok....got to go....work calls..

Have a Fab week ahead....and ensure you do your best to put a smile on someone's face...

Love you guys to bits...

Cheers!

RANT - SEASON 21 BY VICTOR

*ehn ehn its rant time...

yes o its rant time....
watchu say its rant time....
RANTTTTT

*Covers face*
Is there a way I can put up a song in my Rant posts so as to stop embarrassing myself each time I try to compose an intro?

Just imagine an hip pop beat *du du pa papa du pa* and then input the above lyrics *jumping*. I am good mehn...shiii.

I hope everyone is having a fulfilling week cos I am. This week is fast kai. Mehn like play like play we all are getting older. Can't I just be young forever? Is anyone scared of getting old? I am *covers face*. It is well sha...

So last week, I got this mail from a Mobylizer and mehn this uncle is venting big time and I would be lying if I said I don't understand where he is coming from. Here is Mr. Victor's rant.

This is one of the reasons why Nigeria will remain stagnant,I beg your pardon.I know we are still wallowing in ethnic and religious bigotry, but one of the fundamental human rights is freedom of worship okwaya?

Its no longer much of a news that one Chukwuma Austin Dike, a corps member serving in Benue state, has converted to muslim. Doesn't he have his right to worship?

Most online news website has cited the fact that he is an "Igbo", does it matter where he comes from? People (I bet Christians) have been pouring insults and abusive words on him and his decision...*O di kwa egwu ooooo*..Aren't there Muslims who have converted to Christianity? Aren't there Northerners who are Christians? What if Chukwuma Austin was not really a Christian, what if he has always been a Muslim at heart? He could be one of many Nigerians who doesn't have a religion. I am not talking about the religion he converted to but what am saying here is that Nigerians, Igbos, Christians should respect his decision and not insult him.

MOBY SPEAKS
I guess a lot of people will be confused by the story, seeing not everyone listens, reads, or watches the news (even me sef *covers face*. Thanks to Miss Petite Nigeria, Bolateethole and Linda Ikeji) but let me narrate the story of Mr. Chukwuma Austin Dike.

Mr. Dike is a corp member currently serving in Benue state. He made a vow during the past elections that he would switch from Christianity to Islam if General Muhammadu Buhari wins the March 28 presidential election. Buhari won and was sworn in on Friday, May 29, 2015 as President.
In fulfillment of his vow, Mr. Dike went to the Mosque in and his conversion to Islam was finalized.

Now this made the news because one, he was IGBO as cited by the ranter and secondly because of his reason for converting. This ranter is angry because he feels everyone is making it a big deal due to Mr. Dike's tribe.

What's your thought on this?

I feel, personally, every man has the right to choose whatever religion he wants... Christianity or Muslim, irrespective of tribe. No one should criticize or mock anyone for decision made by them as long as it wasn't made under duress or coercion. I feel Mr. Dike's reason for converting is stupid but then we all should note that he is a grown man and he decides what he wants and he would bear the consequences (if ever there is one). So please no one should curse or insult anyone for decisions made by them.

My own one piece.

I would love to read your view on this. You can leave a comment in the comment section or just send it to my mail if you have more to say.

Thank you Victor *winks*.

I see y'all...

MY MAMA HATES ME

Fear thou not cos my mama loves me...hehe

Mi lovies, how di do?
Its another Friday already o and then another weekend. I doubt there would be a full weekend download on Monday cos I still feel sick and I think I need to use anti-malaria drugs judiciously this time.

I stumbled on a story on yahoo yesterday and my mouth is still opened... like seriously opened and I thought I should share with you.

Growing up, my mother and I would fight over little things, from not flushing the toilet after peeing (now I blame her for my mysophobic nature) to not taking a shower cos I feel sleepy but most times it was for staying out too late or hanging out with people who I was too blind to see weren’t really my friends. But even though we didn’t always see eye to eye, I always knew that she had my best interest at heart and was just trying to protect me.
Watching her taught me that being a parent means loving your children unconditionally, in spite of their flaws.

But clearly, this mom missed that memo.

A mother posted a message on Reddit, asking for help because she has a daughter who is “physically unattractive” and “honestly looks like she has some sort of disability.”

PARDON....PARDIN?
Yes a mother said this about her own child.... a child that spent 9 months in her womb. I am still very shocked.
If your mouth is open from being in awe (ironically) of this woman, you may want to sit down, because there’s more. Instead of just stopping there, she stresses how hard it is for her and her husband to love their daughter in spite of her “ugly” looks. Here is just a tiny fraction of her speech:
“I feel beyond awful that I feel this way. But, because she is such a wonderful person inside, it hurts me the more that her peers won’t see past her physical appearance. And, may God strike me dead for saying this, I’d almost rather she DID have a disability or chromosomal disorder. Then there would be an explanation for the way she looks other than just ‘bad genetic luck.’”
If this is a contest for the worst mother ever, I think we can all agree that she wins by a landslide. I wonder what kind of person you have to be for you to actively wish that your child had a disability. Nothing matters to a girl than what her mother thinks of her. Our mothers are our whole world and wouldn't you be heartbroken if you get to know that your mother think you are ugly? Iya Dayo still tells me (as old as I am) how beautiful I look. Just yesterday, as I was leaving the house for work, I asked her how I looked and she said 'very beautiful' with a smile. That mattered to me... I felt pretty all through the day.. If someone had called me ugly yesterday, I won't have cared cos my mum thinks I am very beautiful. So how can this woman honestly sleep at night when her daughter is ugly to her.
A mother called  her own flesh and blood "physically unattractive", which is pretty much the last thing you’d ever expect any mom ever to say about her kids.

Yes, we have this notion in our society where good looking people will have an added advantage over few things but I have known people who have done immensely and loved by masses despite of how they look.

Let us all be aware that such feelings (of hate, love, e.t.c) are magnified times a thousand and one demoralizing comment or thought can make anyone see him/herself in a terrible light which might lead to low self esteem.
What do you think? Is it fair for a mother to ever admit this? Is she wrong or is she a good mother because she sees a real problem developing and wants help?

And with my last post for the week, I open the door to an amazing weekend.

THE WORD FOR TODAY - IGNORE THE INVITATION

"The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation)”.
-Proverbs 4:7 (AMP)

TODAY'S WORD
Our text makes us to understand, that wisdom is the principal thing, it should be the first in order of importance in all that we strive to acquire.

Joseph exhibited a great level of this wisdom. He refused to attract pity to himself or wallow in self-pity, he totally ignored the invitation to a pity party. He knew he had a great destiny and refused to major on his challenges.

In Genesis 41:14, "Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. But Joseph shaved himself, changed his clothes, and made himself presentable; then he came into Pharaoh's presence."

Notice what the bible said Joseph first did. 'He shaved himself... and made himself presentable. Often times, Christians are overtly spiritual to think things like this are not important. He was presented with an opportunity and decided to make the best of it by applying divine wisdom. He could have gone into Pharaoh's presence dirty and looking dejected in self-pity, and most likely Pharaoh might have not listened to him or even if he did, he wouldn't have made him the ruler over all.
Some people would rather appear in such a way that people will pity them. They tend to wallow in pity and always talk about how bad things are for them, how they have been suffering, and you know that if you get into their company they will bore you with the same story of how things have worked against them. This attitude will make you stagnant in life. If Joseph had wallowed in self pity, he would have remained in the prison all his life. He rather prepared himself and got ready for the vision God gave him by applying wisdom in practical terms.
Your circumstance is not being underrated, but everyone has different challenges at one point in time in their lives, but what keeps some moving and other stagnant is the ability to get up, grow up and move on. Our appearance is important, but applying wisdom goes well beyond dressing. It is knowing what to do with every opportunity presented to us.

Confession
I open up my heart to receive divine wisdom from above to know what to do with every opportunity that God brings my way. Halleluyah!

This word for today was gotten from Dexter and Jola Akin-Alamu. Thanks for reading. Have a fabulous week ahead filled with love, peace, happiness, divine favor and plenty of my drama *winks*.

Waddup.... waddup.... wahhhhhduppp...
What's crackalacking yorr??
Whaddup in this place ya'll..
Ya'll is aiight?.....shiiiii

*trust me...I don't know what ginger I'm on..*LOL.....but....

Just know there is no fire without smoke...and vice-versa.....which means there is a reason for the heavy greeting...*big grin*....but first...
My church usually organises a prayer conference every four months and this month.....err.....this week...is another prayer laden week for me...*spiritual + prayer mode fully activated* Somebody shout halleluya....

Everyone will have to pardon Moby for one week...just one week...*on my knees*... I won't be putting up any post this week... the programme runs from 6pm - 8.30 pm and by the time we are done, I'm always very tired from the day's stress. I just had to find a way to type this one so as not to keep you guys waiting and thinking Moby has gone again.....*covers face*...but I promise to make it up next week...okay?

Before I come and go and waka, let me gist you about my nephew, Jimmy. He is 6 years old.. and this boy is a very handsome boy....like seriously handsome. I can't wait for him to start having girlfriends... I will be the one doing the screening on his behalf...*can somebody say yea yea?*....hehe.
Lola, Moby and Tito... yea
But this my nephew is playful fa. He can play for the whole Nigeria and get a medal. Everyone knows how playful he is so when you send him on an errand, just have it at the back of your mind that your goods might not be delivered in whole (it might be broken or may not be complete on delivery) or he would get the opposite of what you sent him or he would have dashed the seller your change, or he won't even find the money you gave him...*SMH*

Once my Sister asked him to go get tomato paste and he came back with Sardine....choi!.. Its that bad....so what does my sister do? She would either write what she wants in a paper or send him one thing at a time and give him how much time he gets to spend outside (which doesn't always work though *sighs*)

So this morning, she sent him to go get sugar cos the sugar in the house wasn't going to be enough for breakfast. I was there when she sent him cos I was preparing to leave the house for work. Now  my sister felt since it was sugar, it shouldn't be hard for him to remember, shey? And off he went..... gbaaaaaaaaa *that's the sound effect for the speed with which he left the house*

About 2 minutes after he left to get the sugar, I got to my estate gate and I saw my lil nephew do a u-turn. He was going to hide immediately he saw me behind him but he manned up and was walking towards me head down like
At that point I knew it.... Jimmy had forgotten what he was sent. I'm sure what was running through his mind was 'I don die today....what did she send me to buy o.... rice? Garri? Salt? Pepper?....No groundnut?

And then he had two options.... go back home and ask my sister and definitely get a slap or go ahead and come back with the wrong item and get the beating of his life. Either option he picks, he was going to get something painful in return.

Immediately I just started laughing like
I was laughing so hard cos I knew he was going to get something. I know I can be a Margeret Thatcher but I really wanted to see the kind of beating he was going to get. Come on who wouldn't want to? *evil grin*... Or my sister might just pardon him... It might just be his lucky day.

I sha pitied him and helped him out..abi...the Joy on his face told the whole story of how he narrowly escaped legendary beats this morning..LOL. I could tell he was dancing shakitibobo and shoki together
I am a good aunty after all...

So with my last story for the week, I will see y'all next week. Please be safe and have a wonderful week and I promise to pray for you...and you. ..and you.

I love you.

Cheers....

THE WORD FOR TODAY- OVERFLOW WITH THANKFULNESS

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
(Colossians 2:6–7, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD
Have you ever thought about what it means to be overflowing with thankfulness? Don’t just think your thanks, show it! In other words, you shouldn’t let the kindness of others go unnoticed. Sometimes it’s easy to take the people closest to us for granted. But your family, your friends, the ones who love and support you are the ones who should feel your gratitude the most.

Notice this verse also says to live in Christ and be built up in Him. When you keep yourself built up spiritually by studying the Word and praying in the Spirit, then the second part of the verse will just come naturally — you will be strengthened in your faith, and your heart will be filled with thankfulness!

Today, look for new ways to show your thankfulness to those around you. Let it overflow. Sow seeds of gratitude and blessing. Keep yourself built up in faith and reap the abundant harvest God has for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for strengthening me with Your love today. Help me to be a blessing to those around me and show me creative ways to let my life overflow with thankfulness in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I wonder where some of these artistes get their inspiration from....

Hello guys...
I'm sure most of you are giving me the side eye like 'what is wrong with this aunty that she's shouting anyhow?'...LOL.... Make una no vex.... Na beg I dey beg. I really do have a good excuse for the "no post all week". Na church cause am. I had a programme all week long....*prayer things* But I'm back now.... I swear I'm back..*big grin*

Last week, I put up a post about my nephew being too playful and forgetful and then made mention of a particular incident....of which the main point of the post was my nephew's reaction to the realisation of his error (lol...I still laugh when I think about it).... He is a very cute boy and he just had this really cute look on his face...like this

 Haahaaaa....more like this
He cute...I like
Only for me to get a comment from an anonymous person saying "And u r laughing dat a 6yr old has ADHD...Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder...I bet he comes last in class..how can he concentrate and learn...Seek professional help...PS Moby no be everything u go put 4 blog O!!...U r a sweet person #Nohardfeelings"
I stared at this comment for over 10 minutes and I was speechless. How can anyone take something so innocent  and make it a big deal?..lol... I even had a fight with boo for  taking the post down sef but the truth is that I've learnt the hard way that there is something to get out of everything...

So I took my time to google ADHD (even leboo sef turn doctor on top this matter) and lucky enough I work with pediatricians and so I asked them a lot of questions about this issue. That is how serious I took that comment. I was able to book my nephew for an appointment so as to fully confirm that what he's going through is just a phase and not a disorder and I can't wait to hear the result.

You see ehn guys, I am a very very open and playful person. The things people take unnecessarily "too" serious are things I sometimes do not see..... talkless of making it an issue!...*shrugs*

I love my nephew and he is amazing. My friend Bimbo said something... She said every child gets to a particular age where they are really playful and once you are playful, you get to forget loads of stuff. She said its only if he gets older and he is still like that then it becomes an issue.....Shikena!

I took that post down not because of what the poster said but because I felt there are other people out there really suffering from ADHD and it can't and won't be fair to them...

To the commenter.. Anon: I just want to clear one part of your comment, MY NEPHEW IS A VERY SMART CHILD. He is brilliant and doesn't come last in class....he has never been last in class.. I doubt he has ADHD. Once he came to meet me and asked that I teach him how to tell time. That's how you know a smart child yearning for knowledge...*grin*.

To everyone that feels I put too much about myself on the blog, I don't. Trust me you don't have a clue as to half the things I ask the Holyspirit to hold me back from putting on the blog. Once Duru said 'Moby how far na... today you are a pastor, tomorrow you are giving sex advice'.... Well that's just who Moby is. I love to talk about sex and a whole lot more... (my colleague calls me a sexer...haha).... But one thing I want y'all to know is I love God.... I'm not where I want to be spiritually but I love God with my heart, soul and body.

There will be weekend download tomorrow. Need to gist you about another Bridezilla that I met.... you won't believe what she did to her husband... Haha. I can feel Bukky and Calabar gal shaking for gist. Taaaaa... Wait till tomorrow. I gat you...*hugs*

And I had a funny dream about Tibs and Victor. It felt too real. May God help us all in Jesus name.

Have a wonderful week lovely people..

Take care

Cheers!

Heehe

Hello mi lovies. Whatagwan...???

How was your weekend? Well I was to have a rather boring + a 'sleep-full'.... weekend but I was rescued by Leboo... He decided to pity me so he offered to take me to a wedding he was to Mc..and Yes!...I said Yes!...*big grin*.... I'm kinda proud of him. He gets better each time. Thumbs up bro....*hugs*

Rewind a bit to Friday.....It was just there. Got back from work, chilled a bit with some friends and then off to church for a vigil....It was power packed, mind blowing, prayer answering, prophesy proclaming.....It was awesome...and Yes I prayed for you...*wink*

After the vigil, in the early hours of Saturday, I didn't want to stand up from my bed but then it was either I remained on the bed and dull all day and not have an interesting weekend download or I follow leboo for his wedding.... Not his wedding o!!!.....his wedding...*raises eyebrow*.... I just said the same thing shey? Well you get the point...

Anyway, I was still getting ready (doing my make up) and leboo was still dragging his feet around the house (supposedly waiting for me) when the bride called to say she was almost at the reception. We literally flew to the venue and  It was raining cats and dogs and monkeys... and everywhere was flooded. I was just praying for the car cos she had to swim...We sha made it there in one piece and even before most of the guests and the couple too..*rolls eyes*

It was an ibo wedding and it was amazing..(Contrary to what many believe).... The decor, the crowd and the food, everything was on point. Here's what I looked like.

Motunrayo Raheem... She is a celeb o...me sef celebs ( times 2 ). ...hehe
I even forgot to wear any jewelry....

My tummy game is messing ma game up at the moment mehn... shiii *British accent activated *.
I don taya o. I think I ate too much at this wedding. Trust you won't be seeing them in my next pictures. Hehe.

I noticed one thing about this couple...well the bride...she seemed like a mini-bridezilla...She hardly even smiled at the begining of the event....(Well, I later found out she was angry over many things...the cake arrived late, her wedding gown tore, the flood delayed most of her guests etc). One time, Tito asked her to  kiss her husband and she did as if she didn't hear...she actually said she wasn't going to...(Almost like there was no connection between them).. so I tapped a friend of mine I met at the event (she was on the train) to go tell her to kiss him, only for my friend to come back and say she said she wasn't going to kiss him cos he took alcohol.... Really? ....Well...that might be a good enough reason for her but I just felt she was already under the pressure of the whole wedding.....Anyways...shortly after...she was smiling, laughing and dancing (she even pop'd her butt for her man)...Trust Tito to make any dull gathering come to life....LOL

Anyways, one of the highlights of the wedding was that I saw an old friend of mine and we were just catching up on old times....pretty cool.

Sunday was the grand finale of the prayer conference...and it was colorful...the praise worship was out of this world and I felt Gods spirit fill the entire auditorium. I feel really blessed and I know that my prayers have been answered. May God answer all our prayers...Amen!...After church, all I wanted to do was sleep.... I got home and sleep did I sleep. Hehehe.....I'm good in bed like that...*wink*

I woke up craving nkwobi and Orijin like a crazy pregnant woman... This is what nkwobi looks like...for the ajebutters in the house
Yummy... I want more..*sad face *Source
So I called my partner in crime, Tito, and we nkwobi-ed and Orijined away... I love my life mehn. If you have never tried nkwobi in your life, you belong to another planet...really.

Guess who asked for cutlery to eat nkwobi? Yes he did *smh*... The waiter just laughed at him and said 'Oga you no go enjoy this thing with fork o...use your hand hin better'. Haha. Forming tush in a hut house...taaa.

Anyways how was your own weekend? Who went for the Makeup in the City event? I wanted to go o but this woman needed to rest....*sad face*

Oya gist me now....

I'm waiting...oya

Cheers!

EMERGENCY CROTCHET

Hellurrr......Helluuuuurrrrrr....
Is thereee some one heeuurrrr????

*I’m actually trying to mimic a movie character #Epic fail....

Can you guess who the character is?

Guys!
Guess who did a crotchet on her head?... Anyone....anyone..... *looks around* ME!!!.....*pointing + jumping*.....Yes its me.!!!...... I did it.... I did oo.

You all know I am not so spontaneous with my hair.... My go to style anytime I have my hair out (on my natural hair)... is packing my hair. But after my boss looked at me with fire in his eyes and asked what kind of hair I came to work with, I decided to try the crotchet..*phew!.

I had to buy 1 Expression marley extension (goes for 700 naira) and I used part of the extension used on my head from the Naija Hair can Grow Salon day out. You forgotten already?  Here it is...
Sandra's face though..hehe
So I started making my hair at 7 pm cos of the time I got home from work that day.... I wove my hair into 4 all-back. I couldn't take a clear picture cos it was late…. Then I started my crotchet.

I finished around 10 pm and I looked at my hair and I just said... 'fine or no fine you are going to work with me like this for the next 4 days'.

Here's what it looked like.

I didn't take so many pictures of it cos for some very funny reason I was busy that week but you have an idea sha.....(*big grin*) One girl saw me at Ikeja City mall and she asked that I come teach her how to make the crotchet....Imagine!... In my head I was like 'this is my 1st trial o and people think its cute'.. I was dancing the heavenly shoki mehn...I should try experimenting with my hair more often o... Hehe

Who else has tried making crotchet themselves? You should if you've not. Its easy, manageable and looks pretty good..... Just check youtube for tutorials.

In other news, my god daughter is growing so fast and fine... I want to born baby *sad face* Tito na...come and let us do this tin na *hahahahaha*. See her eyes like my eyes, cheeks like my cheeks, everything like Moby. I feel like her mum already...maybe I gave birth to her... AHHHHHH her mum stole her from me...nooooo

Isn't she lovely???
I got to go before my oga at the top will say that I am not working.

I love y'all like crazyyyyyyyy.

Oya bye.

Cheers...

Today’s Scripture
“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
(Matthew 7:8, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD
Is there something you are believing God for?
Does it seem like it’s taking a long time to come to pass? Be encouraged today because the Bible says that through faith and patience, you will inherit God's promises. So don’t give up! Keep thanking God for His faithfulness in your life. Trust that His Word is true. Keep praying and keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking on the door, and it will be opened to you.

It may seem like it’s taking a long time, but know this: God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. He is orchestrating things in your favor. His timing is always perfect! As you stay faithful in your prayers and thanksgiving, the Lord will move mightily on your behalf. He’ll take you places that you’ve never dreamed!
Amen.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for giving me a diligent spirit. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Give me strength to stand until I see Your promises fulfilled in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

How are the Mobylizers?..

Wait ooo...please who did this maths:...Monday - Friday is 5 days!!!.....why would Friday - Monday be 3 days??? Ehn!...*fuming + rolling eyes*

Can't Monday just be a Sunday...like a "Sunmonday"...so we can rest well...especially people like me that always have  go out all through the weekend so that you all can have an interesting weekend download. Kai...My enemies have suffered ooo.... All I can think of now is Sleep. I want to sleep oooo *wailing*

 Anyways how was your weekend?
Aswear my weekend was sweeter than yours…*shines teeth*.... I rocked the whole of Lagos ehn. ...just so you can have an interesting read today.

So on Thursday Boo called and asked if I was interested in paint balling on Saturday with his friends. ... It didn't sound like a bad idea at the time so I agreed....(little did I know)..

Saturday came and I didn't have what to wear...(or so I thought...*rolls eyes *) so I picked up this old pair of jeans of mine and decided to borrow you guys some part of it… LOL... I took out the entire thigh area... and I rocked it....Yep... I rocked it well...haha. Here's what it lookes like...*covers face*
covers face.....hehe

I have to include a selfie picture na...hehe

Lebullluuu
Now let me just say this... Paint balling is scary... even the rules and regulations of the game are enough to scare you...like if the ball should hit your eyes, teeth or balls,  that's bye bye to it o...And the way the instructor was talking sef...*long hiss*...He was just scaring everybody...Like we were going into a real war.. I just had to gather courage to play so people don't think I have no balls to go with my drama....*sighs*....
Tito was on the opposing team and  there was no love on the battle ground oooo.

This was what the field and the soldiers looked like...

Soldier Moby

My team
Tito's team
No love lost

When the alarm sounded to start the game, I almost peed in my pants. The way everyone ran for safety and started shooting, I was just shaking... I was almost praying to God to forgive all my sins... then someone shot me (which I'm sure was Tito) and I was out of the game. Their team won that round though.. *whatever*....The main rule was to guard your flag and try to get your opponents own. If someone from the opposing team gets to your flag and picks it, your team looses.

The second round was much better, I already had some experience and I went out gun blazing mhen...I shot a few people but again Tito got me...*rolls eyes*....but my team won though...The third round was even better, I didn't get shot *warrior mode*...and I shot a lot...then I saw one big banana looking opponent and I knew it was Tito...
Immediately, I took my aim and started firing...but mhen that guy was sleek, I don't know how I didn't hit him, he shot at me too but I survived, anyway, he got to our flag and his team won..*mssttteeewww*

During the game, someone decided to shoot me in the thigh and that spot has been swollen and red since....*crying*.. I doubt I would ever be paint balling again....
Leboo thinks its fun...I think its not so much fun...its scary. Not to discourage anyone o...you might like it..but I DON'T...*folds arms + straight face*

After paint balling, we went to visit a friend of ours that just gave birth to a bouncing beautiful baby girl....It was the naming ceremony of their new born. I was going to claim her to be my god daughter but I know Leah won't want that...LOL.... I have too many god children already.....*grins*.... Mehn its not easy giving birth o... See my sexy friend, Dupe, looking big with big stomach...kai. May God help us all.

On Sunday, the youth in my church had a Praise concert and mehnnnnn was it a praise concert.... It was plenty fun...I had fun. I danced... I sang and God's name was glorified....There were performances by different artist, crews, comedians, and leboo was the Mc....So you can imagine the fun..... The only thing was, I couldn't drink Coke cos I am seriously watching my weight at the moment..*sad face*... Hahaha but really how can one person have so much fun in 2 days?... hehe
Everyone was rocking Moby's ankara accessories... I like
After the whole stress,  Leboo and I just decided to Nkwobi and Orijin the rest of the night....And that was the icing on the beautiful cake that was the weekend... If I keep taking nkwobi at this rate, I doubt you all will recognize me after a while....LOL

Oya tell me, was your weekend as fab as mine? If you had more fun, then next week I will purposely go to Sambisa to bring back our girls... then your weekend won't be as fun...*straight face*
 Hahaha.

Y'all should have an amazing week ahead...

Mobylizers rock...and Moby loves the mobylizers...

Be blessed

Cheers...

"To the left....to the left.....Everything you own in a box to the left".....

Wait.....
Moment of truth......

How many of you, after  breaking  up with a boyfriend or girlfriend, would  ask for your things back?...like a gift you gave him/her when you were still in love? Stuff(s) you bought for him or her?... I saw the pic below and that sparked this post...

Now, I want to be very very sincere....*angel mode*. As at the time I broke up with my ex, with the way I felt back then, if I got him a car while I was dating him, I would have collected my car back ni..*straight face*... Nothing would have  stopped that ooo. Shuuu!...after all the wahala, I will now leave car that I bought?..tufia!...LOL

I always tell people, 'do not invest so much into what you are sure will not last nor benefit you'. Let me tell you guys a story...*full gbeborun mode...gele re-adjusted*.... I used to have this neighbor..... Fine yellow paw paw girl like this. This babe met one man sometime like that  and from the moment she agreed to date him, man first dropped one small car for her to learn how to drive.... Next thing, na Honda Element ooo...then before we knew it Murano then Ferari arrived...shuuu!!!..Just like that ooo... then trips to Dubai, Yankee and even to space. At that point, if babe didn't love the man, even her conscience will come out and beat her for not loving the man.....like seriously???...LOL...
Anyway, She ended up marrying him... I don't know if it was for love or for other reasons best known to her but that man really did invest in her....But here is my question....let's flip tables now... What if babe said she wasn't going to marry him, after all the spending and investment?...do you think the man would have been right to  request for his cars back and every other thing he bought for her?
If na me, hunmm...I would have o....hian!..LOL

I asked a friend of mine and he said he wouldn't cos he would just accept that things didn't work out...But for me o, things would have to work out ooo.. they Must work out or else the person would have to work out how to return my stuff...Shikena!..

Do you think I'm selfish for thinking like this? My thoughts are not your thoughts ooo LOL. ..
I would love to read your point of view.

WAIT A MINUTE

It is the first of July pipu... *yaaaaay*. Happy New Month everybody. May this month bring us lots of Joy and Happiness. And love. Amen.

Guess what again...hehe.

It is Doctor's day all over the world.
Happy Doctor's day to all the Doctors that visit this blog... Happy Doctor's day to all my Doctors... Yes I have plenty of them. Happy Doctor's Day to all the Doctors that treated me at some point in my life. Thanks for being amazing. MOBY LOVES YOU LIKE ......

Helllloooooo
Hiiiiii
My Nigerian people ewe so oooo

Griii gba gba...
Greatest Nigerian students o....

Mehn, I miss my Uni days... When you hear "of the greatest gba gba gbi gbi" then you know something is happening.
I am not razz *covers face* but if you attended my kind of college, I'm sure you'd turn out worse. Ask Tosyne and Gbolahan
Talking about Gbolahan, where is he o? Someone should get the popo or EFCC immediately to look for him...seeing everything in Naija is done by the police *covers face*

Now the rant for today is not my own rant. Rather it is my colleague's. But I am the reporter and the writer. He decided to give me another job *evulll*

So on my way to work yesterday, I saw some people dressed like clowns.. Really they looked like clowns. They stopped everyone on the street, cars entered shops and offices without a second thought, begging for money in their funny kpangolo (metal tin cans). Apparently it was their RAG DAY.
Well it wasn't a surprising sight cos I see these guys anytime of the year. Apparently, it was a particular school's rag day where these guys dress like Zombies... torn dresses, crazy hairstyles, wearing different colors of shoes and somethings I can't mention. I just smiled and walked on to the office. Little did I know that the sight of these people won't make some people I know smile. hehe... My colleague walks in and starts ranting like
"Bj you should put this on your blog. What are those guys doing on the road constituting nuisance. (At this point, I think he places his hands on his head...I think ni o)"
Then he continues."What's the idea behind what they are doing? Like seriously. You need to put this on your blog...I can't take this anymore (I included this part *covers face*)".
I was about to say "Bruh calm down na...those guys are my niggas. They are just representing noni" but instead I just said "Oh I see why this looks strange to you. You went to a private school shebi?". And I continued working...or started pressing my phone... erhmmm I can't remember the next thing I did but I started doing something *scratches head*.

I understand his reason for ranting so much. You know all these butty children that will not let let us hear word because they are O.B.Os (omo baba olowos) a.k.a My father got too much money. So I decided to put up his rant today and let other O.B.Os in the building vent. But then I decided to research a little before saying anything. I mean Rag day can't be a Nigerian thing na shey?

I decided to first check the origin of the Rag day and I was surprised to see that the rag day started wayyy back... even before my mum was born. The Oxford English Dictionary states that the origin of the word "Rag" is from "An act of ragging; especially an extensive display of noisy and disorderly conduct, carried on in defiance of authority or discipline". These Rag collectors would Rag passers-by until they made a donation.

Alternatively, it is thought to be from the Victorian Era when students took time out of their studies to collect rags to clothe the poor. More surprisingly is that RAG stand for "Raise and Give", "Raise A Grand" or "Raising and Giving".
I didn't know
The first Rag was started at the University of Pretoria in 1925 of which during the parade, they build floats, they carry cans and ask the spectating public to make donations.
Early Raggers...Ragees..Ragist. Pick whichever you want..
But in Nigeria, Rag Day is usually part of the Student Union week when students, especially the newly-admitted ones, wear rags or dress in crazy manners and storm the streets in a bid to raise funds for charity. Its purpose is to help children in need of one thing or the other, particularly in the orphanage. The fund was also sent to hospitals to help the needy and the less priviledge.
Over time, the concept of "rags" on Rag Day has come to mean not necessarily torn or dirty pieces of clothing but an outrageous combination of everyday clothes - so outrageous that the wearer, at first impression, would be rated as 100 percent mad and then the money made are used for personal keep.
However, some private bodies that are not in school also do rag day for no cause.
Now my colleague has an issue with this cos he feels that people or students were constituting nuisance on the road for nothing.
I decided to give you guys a little insight into what this rag day is about so you can understand better.

Now what do you all think about RAG day? I never did it in school though cos shakara was too plenty. Well truth be told I don't think they do Rag day in Lagos State University sha. Dunno o.

But I want to read your thoughts. Do you support my colleage that RAG day is stupid cos I know it is tradition in some schools or is he just being a butty.

Lemme go and sit down so I can raed your comments well.

Cheers....
